This Privacy Policy describes how Active Consulting Services LLC, doing business as Active Applied ("Active Applied," "we," "our," or "us"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit activeapplied.com (the "Site") or contact us through it.

This policy covers the public website only. Engagements with clients are governed by a separate Services Agreement and, where applicable, a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) that addresses Protected Health Information under HIPAA.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you email us using the contact links on the Site, we receive your email address, name, and the contents of your message. We do not run any contact forms, account signups, or checkout flows on the Site.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider may automatically record standard server log information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you visit, and the dates and times of those visits. This information is used to operate and secure the Site.

Cookies and analytics

The Site does not set marketing or advertising cookies. If we add a privacy-respecting analytics tool in the future (for example, Plausible or a similar tool that does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites), we will update this policy and note it here.

3. How we use information

• To respond to your inquiries and continue the conversation you started.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
• To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only to the extent needed for them to do their work. These include:

• Hosting and infrastructure providers that host the Site.
• Email service providers (for example, Google Workspace) that deliver and store the emails you send us.
• Payment processors (Stripe) that process invoices to clients we have already engaged with under a written Services Agreement. The Site does not process payments.
• Legal, accounting, and similar professional advisors when reasonably required.
• Government authorities when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.

5. Data retention

We retain emails and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond, to maintain business records, and to comply with legal obligations. We retain server log information for a short, rolling window consistent with industry norms.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding the personal information we hold about you. These can include the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of the information, and the right to object to or restrict certain uses.

California residents

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise your CCPA rights by emailing the address above.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the legal bases on which we process personal information include your consent, our legitimate interests in operating the business, and compliance with legal obligations. You have the rights described above and may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information that we hold. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us over the internet. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you consistent with applicable law.

8. Children

The Site is intended for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

9. Links to other sites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged in a visible location on the Site for a reasonable period.
